More sinned against than sinning free essay sample

The primary accentuation of the subject Tess: More trespassed against than erring is that the hero who is trespassed against more than submits sin is at last the casualty in the account. In Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Tess is normally decided on the virtue of her expectations, and the amount she was exploited. A preservationist perusing from the time would imply that the way that Tess lost her goodness would be sufficient to portray her as a ‘fallen woman’ â€Å"whose sex, infidelity and wrongdoing of homicide denoted her as preposterously ‘impure’ in traditional terms.† Tess of The DUrbervilles is one of the initial ten biggest books in the different dialects of Europe. It is the magnum opus of Thomas Hardy. When Tess was first distributed it had a quick achievement and it has stayed a smash hit from that point onward. It is an epic novel, for it is met uniquely with the life and appalling passing of a nation house cleaner named Tess Durbeyfield. It is the best sign of Hardys inventive virtuoso. It manages Hardys reasoning of authenticity. It shows Hardys hypothesis of will. Destiny has a significant influence in its plan of things yet we know about its working just when Hardy strides forward and starts to give his remark. This tale is the account of unadulterated ladies who is cherished by a man whom she detests and who abandoned by a man whom she adores with her spirit. Tess catastrophe is an example logic in the unfeeling thinking of general destiny. Her tormented life, superfluously delicate, is only the representative language, wherein the premises of Fate are unobtrusively and heartlessly worked out. Destiny that frequents Tess, is barbarous, coldblooded and persevering, it gobbles her up at last! The tale of Tess of the DUrbervilles is profoundly, stubbornly set in time and spot. Tess is an unadulterated lady, yet she isn't the indication of some Platonic origination of womanhood. She is an English nation young lady, the result of a specific spot and time. Tess is a Durbeyfield, dairy produce, who lives in the second 50% of the nineteenth century in that piece of southern England that Hardy called Wessex. The very word Wessex on the double anecdotal and chronicled, reveals to us something of the idea of the creators innovative creative mind, so saturated with history and feeling of spot. The history and topography of southern England, are only an important foundation to Tesss story, they are necessary to it, evening atâ every transform and level into the pith of the circumstance that Hardy portrays. Tesss fall, is essentially bound up with the social circumstance of the Durbeyfields. Tess speaks to an express endeavor to supplant an increasingly minor figure, the fallen lady as sign. She is an expressly sexual being, her appearance depicted with a similar certainty as Graces emotions : she had .. a rich of viewpoint, a completion of development, which caused her to show up to a greater degree a lady than she truly was. The current novel takes the stand concerning Hardys intensity of making ladies characters effectively and well. Tess is a touchy enthusiastic and natural figure. There is in her a blooming of the substance, a physical component which puts stock in the immaculateness of her soul and intensions. She is destroyed to death while battling against the emaciated of conditions. Tess goes through a school of misery and rises a lady, practically divine and genuine. Mr. what's more, Mrs. Durbeyfield are her folks. They are made to show heredity shape the character of a man or lady and how this character become their destiny. She goes to Tantridge just when she is constrained by her mom. She doesn't care for it however she understands her obligation and fills in as ranch guardian. Alec comes to take her from her home to Tantridge. In transit he kisser her without wanting to. After certain days he cruelly entices her. Following multi month she gets back. At the appropriate time she brings forth a child named distress. This is her solitary sin. In any case, she can't be fault for it. She falls a defenseless casualty to her conditions. She has nothing to do against the underhandedness desighns of a foolish youth. Yet, she has been a reluctant heathen. She detests Alec and rejects his offers over and over. She returns to him just when she is persuaded by howdy, that Angel won't return. In any case, when Angel goes to her, she cuts Alec to death. The main sin she does is to acknowledge Alec. Yet, even here she is constrained by her conditions. Her dad has passed on. Alec has been helping her family and rehashing his proposition. She keeps in touch with Angel over and over yet gets no answer. In the event that Angel came a little before she could never acknowledged Alec. The most pitiless treatment is distributed to her by Angel. She adores him and can forfeit even her life for him. She composes a letter to him plainly expressing her issue with Alec yet shockingly Angel doesn't get it. After they getâ married she informs him regarding it and asks pardon yet Angel doesn't hear anything and responds as a hard of hearing ear and deserts her. Heavenly attendant does an incredible unfairness to her. He abandons her despite the fact that her guiltlessness. The discipline she gets is undeserved. Despite the fact that she realizes that Angel has passed a remorseless sentence on her, she obeys him as a dependable spouse. Tess stays faithful to him to the last second. Be that as it may, she is made a toy by Fate. The undetectable hands of Fate attract her to her deplorable en. At the point when she is hanged , Hardy says, Justice was done, and the President of the Immortals in Aschylean phrases, had finished his game with Tess. Chances are vastness to one against her possibility of loving cheerfully in this vale of tears. She knows well that she is washed down into the bay of downpour and demise. Along these lines this artful culmination of Thomas Hardy carries the composition catastrophe to a high point to creative flawlessness. From first to last, Tess of the DUrbervilles is one persevering ahead development. The human story the encompassing nature, the backup of scholarly and passionate noteworthiness, all weave inseparably together, and go ahead overwhelmed by a solidarity of direction. They write in a solitary epic explanation, impressive in its uncovered straightforwardness, of the contention among Personal and Impersonal, the contention, which is the deepest imperativeness of all Hardys noblest work.

The Sparknotes problem

When I start working with a new student, there are a few questions I normally ask: What foreign language do you take and what have you covered? What are you currently reading in English class, and what have you read in the past year or two? Do you read books/newspapers on a regular basis? You see, my mistake has been to assume that even if students dont read on their own, theyve actually been doing the reading that theyre assigned in English class. Increasingly, however, I realize that my question should really be this: how often do you actually do the assigned reading for English class, and how often do you just go on Sparknotes.com and read the summaries? Or perhaps more cynically: do  you ever do the assigned reading for English class, or do you just go on Sparknotes and read the summaries? The first time a student told me shed gotten an A- in English class without ever reading any of the books (at a fairly rigorous $40K+/year Manhattan private school, incidentally), I was mildly taken aback. The second time it happened, a bit less so. Now, Ive (sadly) come to expect it, even from straight-A students. A friend of mine who teaches AP French now spends most of her prep time trying to find readings that cant be looked up in translation online. I think that pretty much says it all. Aside from the obvious question of what on earth could actually be going on in English class that would allow students to get perfect grades without doing any of the reading (lots of extra credit), this is starting to pose some real problems for standardized testing. Now to be fair, I actually think that Sparknotes is a pretty good resource. I find the summaries and analyses to be quite accurate and thorough, and they offer very solid guidance for someone who needs to understand basic themes, characters, etc. It is not, however, a substitute for reading actual books. In terms of school, that might not be apparent. If students can glance through Sparknotes, ace the quiz the next day, and bullshit a few comments to ensure that all-important participation grade, theres no apparent drawback to that method. The fact that theyre not actually learning anything would seem to be irrelevant. The problem only shows up when they hit the SAT or the ACT. Suddenly, theyre being asked to read texts much more challenging than, well Sparknotes, and theres no way to whip out an ipad look up the answer. Having minimal experience with unfamiliar vocabulary, for example, they dont know how to use context clues to figure out what they dont know. The experience of struggling with a text is entirely foreign to them, and the feeling of winning its meaning even more so. (Why bother if it isnt easy, right? And who would, like, write in that weird way anyhow?) What concerns me, however, are the truly head-spinning conversations Ive had with parents who in one sentence openly admit that their child goes on Sparknotes for every English assignment, and in the next express their utter bewilderment over why that child (a straight-A student) just cannot seem to raise his score, no matter how many practice tests he takes. Sometimes, Im really at a loss for words.

Nigeria s Strong Economic Track Record Burden Of Disease

Nigeria is the largest Sub-Saharan country in Africa and has a population of around 173 million people. The population is very diverse. What this means in terms of global health is that Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa with an estimated GDP of 510 billion USD, which surpasses South Africa’s economy by over 200 billion (World Health Organization, 2015). This paper will attempt to explain that despite Nigeria’s strong economic track record their burden of disease is still running rampant, also there are many leading health indicators that need to be readdressed, and finally the steps Nigeria is taking to combat these issues. Social And Economic Problems Faced By Michigan - 1099 Words

Along with challenges and battles, Michigan has made it a long ways in a very diverse range of areas. History is what brings us to where we are today. Throughout time, I believe that every leader, politician, and good citizen strived to crate a better place to live. If this is true than the strides that Michigan has made to become the best it can be are due to the love and devotion that michiganders have to their sate and their country. Just because people try to do good and do their best to promote a safe, equal, and problem-free society, does not mean that it is possible. Emotional Intelligence And Effective Business Communication

Although I am not a management major or a minor here at Bentley University, when picking classes, Interpersonal Relations seemed like a good use of an elective course. Originally going into the course I had some knowledge of emotional intelligence and effective business communication. Nonetheless, I knew my personal communication skills were on a less adequate level than they should be, and thought a course would help me understand myself and others better. Now that I have spent the semester learning and analyzing these skills, I feel I have accomplished my goals on learning more about interpersonal relations on a deeper level. I never knew what a self concept was until I took the course and analyzed how I view others and myself. Upon further insight, I realized based on my assumptions and perceptions I have a darker view on the world, so that tends to leave me with a darker view on myself. However, when I took a common emotional intelligence test called Myers-Briggs, I was claimed to be a introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceptive person. This means I am a reserved person who has sharp interests but has theoretical thinking and many ideas. However, I did also learn in another assessment that I can notice others’ emotions on well and allows me to have a fairly well social interaction, when given the chance. Applying the Combined Gas Law Values of Standard Temperature and Pressure 15 of 19 Determining the value of V2 This value is then converted into moles in order to be applied to determine the gas constant, R. Determining the Gas Constant,R using the Ideal Gas Law 16 of 19 Calculating the Percenta 17 of 19 ge Error Conclusion and Evaluation Conclusion Based on the collected raw data and calculations, the Gas Constant (R) was determined. Calculations were done for all of the three trials and averaged for the most precise value for the Gas Constant. Random errors and uncertainties were to be educed through this process as well. Although all three trials were processed using the same materials and method, the experimental values of the Gas Constant were slightly different. The difference is most likely due to the altered vales such as the temperature, volume, and mass of the variables as these are all determinants of the reaction. In this specific lab work, the Percentage Errors for ach trials are significant as they are relatively low values. This depicts that the Gas Constant values derived from the raw datas are somewhat close to the actual value of Gas Constant. Nevertheless, the Percentage Difference of the averaged value and the actual value is significantly larger than the Percentage uncertainty. This suggests random errors occurred and possible systematic error, causing the deviation of the calculated values from the actual value of Gas Constant. Essay on Analysis of Jealousy in William Shakespeares Othello Essay Example For Students

Essay on Analysis of Jealousy in William Shakespeares Othello Essay Analysis of Jealousy in William Shakespeares Othello Jealousy is described as someone who is feeling or showing envy of someone because of their achievements and advantages. Jealousy plays a major role in Shakespeare’s play Othello. There are many instances throughout the play that show jealousy between the characters. Throughout the play, jealousy is used for destructive purposes only. I believe that Iago longed to get revenge on Othello for previous issues. This only results in a long line of accusations and disputes between the characters in Othello. In Othello, one of the most significant scenes that portrays jealousy is when Roderigo uses Iago to get closer to Desdemona. It doesn’t seem as though Iago really wanted Desdemona, he was merely attempting to get revenge on Othello.

Sweden Essays - Prime Ministers Of Sweden, Ingvar Carlsson

Sweden Sweden Sweden, one of the "three fingers" of Scandinavia, is just larger than the state of California. It covers 173,731 square miles (449,964 square kilometers). From the northern tip to the southern tip it is about 1,000 miles. Thousands of tiny islands line the coast. Mountains form much of the northwest, but most of Sweden is relatively flat with some rollling hills. Many rivers flow from the mountains through the forests and into the Balitc Sea. Sweden is dotted with lakes, which, with the rivers, provide ample water for the country. More than half of the land is forested. North of the Arctic Circle, winters ar long and relatively cold while summers are short and pleasant. But summer's "midnight sun" makes the days long. Although Sweden is located far to the north, most of the country has a relatively temperate climate, moderated by the warm Gulf Stream. July temperatures in Stockholm average sixty four degrees ferenheit. Sweden has been inhabeted for nearly five thousand years and is the home of the Gothic peoples who battled the Roman Empire. In the ninth century, Rurik, a semilegendary chief of the Swedes, is said to have founded Russia. Christianity was introduced in the 11th century adn adopted by the monarchy. During the 20th century, neutrality and nonalignment were cornerstones of Sweden's foreign policy, keeping it out of both world wars and allowing it to transform its rather poor society into a prosperous social welfare state. The Socila Democratic Party dominated politics and led every government until 1976, when it's rule was interrupted until 1982. With the end of the Cold War, and increased European Union in 1995. Sweden's image as a peaceful, egalitarian society, with relatively low crime, was shaken in 1986 when Prime Minister Olof Palme was assassinated on the streets of Stockholm. Palme was succeeded by Ingvar Carlsson of the Social Democratic Party. After rejection of his austerity package in 1990, Carlsson resigned and led a minority government until elections in 1991. The new prome minister, Carl Bildt of the Moderate Party, formed a coalition government. Bildt's administration concentrated on economic challenges and negotiated Sweden's entry into the EU.

Happiness is… 7 Ways to Increase Your Contentment and Well-Being

Happiness is†¦ 7 Ways to Increase Your Contentment and Well-Being I have experienced a definite rise in my happiness level over the past year. I attribute it to personal growth work I’ve done, starting with the Transform! Training with Wright in Chicago, which I recommend to everyone. I attribute my increased sense of well-being to a new willingness to express my emotions honestly and with much less drama than I have in the past. I experience having more to talk about and less to be afraid of in relationships. I have more fun. I had judged my increased contentment as a purely personal phenomenon until I discovered that the entire world is getting happier! Flipping through the September issue of Success Magazine, I read that 71% of the world, according to the 2013 Gallup World Poll, reports experiencing positive emotions such as enjoyment, laughter, smiles, restfulness and respect; this number is up from 69% in 2012. Many people have written about happiness, and there is even a movie or two about it. Perhaps one of my first lessons in happiness came from the musical â€Å"You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown† in the song â€Å"Happiness Is†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (Click here to listen on YouTube). Here are the lyrics (which for some reason skip over â€Å"Happiness is a warm puppy† – but we know that one is true too!) Happiness is finding a pencil. Pizza with sausage. Telling the time. Happiness is learning to whistle. Tying your shoe for the very first time. Happiness is playing the drum in your own school band. And happiness is walking hand in hand. Happiness is two kinds of ice cream. Knowing a secret. Climbing a tree. Happiness is five different crayons. Catching a firefly. Setting him free. Happiness is being alone every now and then. And happiness is coming home again. Happiness is morning and evening, Daytime and night time too. For happiness is anyone and anything at all that’s loved by you. Happiness is having a sister. Sharing a sandwich. Getting along. Happiness is singing together when the day is through, And happiness is those who sing with you. Happiness is morning and evening, daytime and nighttime too. For happiness is anyone and anything at all that’s loved by you. [spoken] You’re a good man, Charlie Brown Although others have sung that happiness is a warm gun, I prefer the child-like sentiment of the Charlie Brown characters. They understand that objects, situations and people can bring us happiness if we choose to have them bring us happiness. I’m encouraged that more people are enjoying life, and, I imagine, appreciating things both big and small. Happiness, according to Gallup, is a valuable indicator of social unrest. Syria, for instance, had a 46% happiness rating in 2012 and that number plummeted 10 percentage points in 2013 to reach the bottom of the list. I certainly don’t know what Syrians can do to increase their happiness levels; I imagine it’s a chicken or egg phenomenon, where unhappiness breeds unrest and unrest breeds unhappiness. But for those of us in the United States (78%), especially those of us who lead relatively peaceful lives, it’s worth taking a look at what we can do to make our lives more enjoyable. Happiness in the world of Charlie Brown is easy to come by. And I think it can be easy to come by for most of us. Here are some things I believe can lead us in the â€Å"more happiness† direction: Responsibly express a full range of emotions. When we can recognize our fear, anger, sadness, pain and joy, and share those with others, we become more connected as human beings. Emotions are something we can all understand. We need to take responsibility for our experiences as opposed to being dramatic about our anger, hurt and pain. And if we can find the right balance, our communications can become much more intimate and satisfying. Take risks. Taking risks makes me feel alive. I don’t mean jumping off cliffs or out of airplanes; I mean saying or doing something I would not normally say or do, even though I’m terrified. It can be as simple for me as asking for a discounted admission to a gym when I’m traveling, even though I â€Å"know† I won’t get it (I got $5 off a $15 entrance fee). Or asking men to dance with me at a local street festival (I had more fun than I ever did waiting for men to ask me!). These acts of challenge get my heart pumping almost as much as if I were about to jump off an actual cliff. Break rules. As a historical rule-follower, I find that breaking unspoken or sometimes explicit rules can make my life a lot more fun. I have rules like I should not speak until someone else does – but speaking first or interrupting someone often makes a greater contribution to a conversation than waiting silently. I have a â€Å"rule† that I should not tell someone something I don’t like about them – but when I tell them, they often explain their behavior to me or even change it on the spot, creating more intimacy and connection. I used to have a â€Å"rule† that I should go to every event at a conference, especially the meals. But at my last conference, I went to a yoga class during lunch one day, and I’m glad I did! I’m discovering that there are many opportunities on a daily basis to break rules that are not serving me, and I definitely feel happier doing things differently. Celebrate your victories. Martin Seligman, Ph.D., founder of the positive psychology movement, determined that people who wrote down their positive experiences before bedtime every day for a week, and analyzed why they went well, increased their happiness for six months! Simply taking time to reflect on three good things that happened during your day will help you sleep better and increase your overall sense of well-being. Trust people. Cynicism, defined as the â€Å"belief that self-interest is the main motivation for other people’s actions† leads to dementia and higher mortality rates, according to a study in Finland by Anna-Maija Tolppanen, Ph.D. Previous reports have linked cynicism to heart disease. So if you are a cynic, and if you want to be happier and healthier, it’s time to literally change your mind! Focus on positive meaning. Going through life, there are a lot of things to â€Å"do.† Shawn Achor, a Harvard-trained researcher and author of Before Happiness, says we experience up to three times higher levels of productivity in our business lives when we focus on feelings of accomplishment, helping people, social connection, or the thrill of a sale. I imagine the same goes for our social lives. Focus on the bigger picture and the positive goal, and that â€Å"to do† list becomes a happiness generator instead of a drag! Set yourself up to win. If you’re like me, you like to accomplish goals, as opposed to fail at meeting them. One big key to accomplishing more goals is making them achievable in the first place! There’s no reason to go for a big goal and not celebrate until you meet it. There are a LOT of steps along the way to getting there. So rather than setting a goal of clearing out an entire basement, start with a goal like emptying one bin or box a day. That way you get to celebrate every day when you empty that one container, and before you know it you will have a much cleaner basement! You can have multiple wins every day just because you say you’ve won. This list of ways to increase our happiness is by no means comprehensive, but it sure is a good start. Charlie Brown’s experience of happiness is completely attainable in the non-cartoon world, and I for one want to live in a world where the simple things create more happiness. If more people take steps toward happiness, will Gallup find another uptick in 2014? What makes me happy is to think that the numbers will keep climbing.

Campbell’s Food Industry Competition

Campbells Food Industry Competition The rivalry among companies in the food processing industry is high and intense. These food processing companies are competing on price, quality, taste, health factors, product innovation, and product benefits (The Food Processing Industry 2006). Campbell’s major rivals are General Millis Progresso, Heinz and Kraft Foods. As a multinational food processing company, Campbell’s faces an extremely competitive market in internationally, nationally and locally due to the similarities between each soup producer and wider selection of products provided by other food processing company. (Ellison, Sarah 2003) On the other hand, various types of generic soup brands in the existing market which offer products in lower price have raised the competitive pressure. However, the Campbell’s high quality of soup products and the ability to keep low production costs weaken the rivalry of the generic soup brands. For instance, Campbell’s price their soup products only 20 t o 25% higher than generic brands while maintaining a level high quality. Campbell’s would have to continue developing superior healthy food to distinguish itself from Progresso and smaller soup maker companies. 3.1.2 Threat of New Entrants The threat of entry depends on the presence of entry barriers and the presence of new entrants to a food processing industry typically bring to it new capacity and the want to gain market share. (Wheelen & Hunger J.D 2007) Campbell’s major rival- Kraft foods and General Mills, create high entry barriers in food processing industry through their high levels of advertising and promotion. Besides, the intense competition in the food processing industry makes it hard to access in the market. Smaller food processing companies often have difficulty obtaining supermarket shelf space for their products as large retailers charge for space on their shelves and give priority to the established companies who can pay for the advertising needed to generate high customer demand. According to Ghemawat & Collis (2001), the economy is a major factor as if the company wants to be a part in this food processing industry it must be able to face high costs for strong competition. Moreover, the slow market growth rate for the food processing industry causes acquisition between companies, resulted the barriers to entry are high with so many food processing companies and little to zero capacity remaining for any more companies. 3.1.3-The Threat of Substitutes Products The rivalry from firms of other industries which offer substitute products is intense as they are producing, supplying and serving the same food products that the food processing companies are. For example, Dunkin’ Donuts is in the foodservice industry and Campbell Soup Company is in the food processing industry, yet Dunkin’ Donuts serves soup and Campbell Soup sells soup. Consumers can still go to Dunkin’ Donuts and acquire the similar soups that Campbell sells. (Wall Street Journal 2003) 3.1.4- Bargaining power of buyers Consumers affect the food processing industry through their ability to force down prices, bargain for higher products quality and services, and play competitors against each other. The bargaining power of buyers is high as there are huge tendency of new entrance with new and variety of products. Besides, consumers prefer choosing products which offer lower prices. For example, Campbell’s soup products price is relatively 20 to 25% higher than generic brands in grocery stores, hence some consumers would choose generic brand products in the market rather than Campbell’s. Besides, the profitability obtained by the company is also determined by consumers. Food processing companies would be forced to lower prices if consumers think that the prices are too expensive as consumers tend to stop buying their products or switch to supplements.

Effects of graduating from college in a bad economy Essay

Effects of graduating from college in a bad economy - Essay Example dual works in the long run as compared to the number of working hours and probability of gaining employment during good economic conditions in the long run (Liu 2). The immediate to short term effects are that fresh graduates fail to obtain positions that are highly desired by them if they graduate in a recession and shifting between jobs is even quite difficult (Oreopoulos 23). They even fail to bargain for higher paying jobs as they fail to gain employment in high paying positions. For example: Kahn figured out that those who graduate during recessionary period earn around 3 to 5 percent less over a period of 20 years (Kahn 310). Those individuals who gain graduation during recessionary sessions do not face difference in gaining job opportunities and working hours in the long run as compared to their peers who graduate during booming conditions. In the short run they experience failure to find high paying jobs, desirable positions, failure to switch jobs and demand low wage rates. Oreopoulos, Philip, Andrew Heisz, and Till . Wachter. Cloning - Stronger, Smarter, and More Perfect Humans :: Cloning Argumentative Persuasive Argument

Cloning - Stronger, Smarter, and More Perfect Humans A few years ago if you were to ask someone about the possibilities of cloning they would most likely say it was impossible. This attitude towards cloning has been held into belief up until recently when scientists in Scotland cloned a sheep. And immediately after scientists in Oregon cloned a monkey (Fackelmann 276). The most major breakthroughs of the century in science has occurred and we are not ready for it. The scientific breakthrough of cloning has caused a great deal of controversy in the media and also in the government. The advantages of cloning are tremendous to the human race and cannot be ignored. I believe that cloning humans is what the human race needs to advance. Humans would be stronger, smarter, and more perfect. Scientists could remove bad genes from the parents and replace it with a good one. If one of the parents had a bad gene or hereditary disease this could be removed from the embryo and replaced with another "clean" gene. This process is called embryo screening it is used to determine if the child has received the defective gene. Several embryos could be cloned, then the DNA from one of the embryos would then be removed and standard genetic testing would be used to detect whether or not that embryo contained the genetic disease. If this cloned embryo containd a disease then one of the other embryos could be used for implantation in a parent, this guarantees that the child would be free of genetic disease (Marshall 1025). For those who disagree with cloning I am sure if there child could be saved from a genetic disease they would reconsider cloning. Imagine if one of your friends or family members was in need of a liver or kidney. Most likely you would donate your own liver or kidney to save there life. But then you are one organ short. Well this happens a lot and seems to work fine. But if they needed a new heart you might have trouble finding one. Not if you had a clone of yourself that could supply you with a new organ or maybe even a relatives organ that was naturally stronger (Cloning 1117). Someone could replace their old organs with new ones and extend their life span. Thousands of lives that could be saved if we had the technology and advanced science of cloning available. Even accepting an organ from a relative it may fail, it has to be compatible with our body system , if its your clone, then its

Ballet Performance

Last time i visited ballet performance and saw twelve pieces, though I liked the most â€Å"Swan Lake Act II†, â€Å"Swan Lake PDD† and â€Å"Tchai Celebration†. Actually, it was Tchaikovsky spectacular and I am sure that he is one of the most highly talented composers of all times. His music is great and impressionable as it aims at enriching viewers and listeners spiritually, at showing them amazing world of art and music. As for me, only classical music helps people to appreciate art and become visitor of theatre.Speaking about my feelings, I was really impressed and enchanted by the performance and music, especially by the parts of Odette and Siegfried from the â€Å"Swan Lake†. And even tears of delight were shining brightly on my eyes. I can say that I have become really interested in classical music and in future I’ll visit the theatre as often as possible. Classical music is aurally comfortable and makes people relax and enjoy the performanc e. Baler performances consisted of solos, twosomes and threesomes, but the stage always looked as if it was filled with man dancers. The costumes were also wonderful: colored tunics and unitards, flowing skirts and pointe. Thus, the costumes varied from the casual clothes to unique and original solution to intensify the impression and to create the necessary atmosphere. The dominated colors were bright and pastels to highlight the particular charm of all actors. I liked the most black and gold classical jackets and tunics because they symbolize importance of life and significance of love in our lives. It is necessary to note that â€Å"Swan Lake† was performed in minimalist style meaning that only dark clothes were dominating on the stage. The dancers seemed to be obsessed with iconic style and standards of ballet. The performance was excellent and it is rather difficult to admit any mistakes because every arm and head of any swan was place precisely and the importance of the m oment was skillfully emphasized. If to use ballet terms, arabesque legs were solidly held as the result of long-lasting rehearsal. Therefore, a careful directing eye was observed throughout the ballet performance. The rare exceptions mentioned were not fully stretched legs and rather shallow pas de chat. I was really impressed when the three leading swans flashed rather synchronized across the stage and everybody said that every company might be proud of such professionalism. Odette and Siegfried were noteworthy. I can’t say that Odette looked fragile and delicate. Instead, i liked idea to show Odette as a Queen who protected her flock from danger. The dance was accompanied by natural mime and that was impressionable. The arms of the swans were undulating beautifully and I’d like to assume that swans showed skillfully Odette’s transformation from swan to woman and vice verse. I also liked â€Å"Black Swan PDD†, especially their exacting choreography. The da ncers seemed to be compact, though they were filled with energy assisting each other. I became anxious when one of the dancers began to tip in multiple pirouettes, but I was pleased to see the he remained unrattled. Abilities to fix the problem and to keep the balance are inherent only to professional and mature dancer.I liked the famous fouettes in the centre of the stage and the turning, every fourth one a double, looked amazing and fabulous. Both dancers provided admirable performance for the viewers. â€Å"Tchai Celebration† is, actually, twelve piano pieces to â€Å"The Seaasons† and baler, therefore, represented months of the year. Composition of the ballet is rather inventive and is sourced in the music. The choreography was for the dancers who relished it meaning they responded with appreciation and real energy making viewers becoming involved in the world of music more and more. The dancers seemed to explore together music and space. For example, â€Å"Juneâ⠂¬ was as wonderful and marvelous as any i have seen on the theatre stage. The performance was very difficult, though never falsely contrived, and a toss, lifts and a catch were smooth to respond to music. I strongly recommend visiting the ballet performance because it remains lots of wonderful emotions and feelings. References Bai, Anjuli. (2007, April 2). Tchaikovsky Spectacular. When the Biblical Exodus Would Have Taken Place

Exodus is not only the name of a book in the Old Testament but a momentous event for the Hebrew people—their departure from Egypt. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer as to when it occurred. Was the Exodus Real? Although there can be a chronology within the framework of a fictional story or myth, dating the events is generally impossible. To have a historical date, normally an event must be real; therefore the question must be asked as to whether or not the Exodus actually happened. Some believe the Exodus never took place because there is no physical or literary proof beyond the Bible. Others say all the proof that is needed is in the Bible. While there will always be skeptics, most assume there was some basis in historical/archaeological fact. How Do Archaeologists and Historians Date the Event? Archaeologists and historians, comparing archaeological, historical, and Biblical records, tend to date the Exodus somewhere between the 3d and 2d millennia B.C. Most favor one of three basic time frames: 16th century B.C.15th century B.C.13th century B.C. The main problem with dating the Exodus is that archaeological evidence and Biblical references do not line up. 16th, 15th Century Dating Problems Make the period of the Judges too long (300-400 years long),Involve extensive interaction with kingdoms which only came into existence laterMake no mention of the heavy local influence the Egyptians had in the area of Syria and Palestine 16th, 15th Century Support However, some Biblical evidence supports the 15th-century date, and the expulsion of the Hyksos favors the earlier date. The expulsion of the Hyksos evidence is important because it is the only historically recorded collective exodus from Egypt of people from Asia until the first millennium B.C. Advantages of the 13th Century Date The 13th century date solves the problems of the earlier ones (the period of the Judges would not be too long, there is archaeological evidence of the kingdoms the Hebrews had extensive contact with, and the Egyptians were no longer a major force in the area) and is the date accepted by more archaeologists and historians than the others. With the 13th century dating of the Exodus, settlement of Canaan by the Israelites occurs in the 12th century B.C.
